Iyengar Yoga is a form of yoga developed by Belur Krishnamachar Sundararaja Iyengar, a living yoga legend that was born in 1918 and been practicing yoga for over 60 years now. He was just an ordinary villager of Belur Karnataka, South India when he received spiritual treatments that made him survived was then top killing diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, malnutrition and typhoid fever. Since then he began to devote himself in studying yoga and then start spreading his meditation technique all over the world in 1937.

The method of Iyengar was very well accepted that he was able to won several awards and was able to published fourteen yoga books. One of the most remarkable books that he wrote was titled the “Light of Yoga”, which is being considered the bible of yoga today and made him to become one of the 100 most influential people of the world by Time Magazine in 2004.

Iyengar Yoga is recognized world-wide as a powerful reliever from stress and anxiety. Its amazing ability to calm muscles and mind caters the needs of all people regardless of their age, gender and health condition. This yoga focuses more on the proper alignment of your body.
